Project Rosalie - 16 Weeks Old

Ah my sweet love. Look at that amazing smile! It's been a big week for my little one! She rolled over for the first time and she found her feet and loves playing with them! She also has started doing so well sleeping in her co-sleeper! She's so much fun to play with right now, what a fun stage! She loves standing up holding my hands and watching me in the kitchen from her Bumbo chair. She is so sweet. SUCH a good baby! She's even getting better in her car seat! Sometimes, with a monumental effort to entertain her (by me) she can make it up to about 20 minutes before she really lets loose the crying! Of course other times it's less ;-) Love her. I could just stare at her forever!

Rosalie's First Temple Trip - Fail!

So... We planned a temple trip with my family this past weekend, and we had a really good time! The only problem??? WE DIDN'T MAKE IT TO THE TEMPLE!!! We had it all planned out to split the shifts with the kids so that we would all have a chance to go, but somehow we were all delusional about what time sessions ended! 3:00? What??? I thought it was like 6:00!!! *Sigh* Well at least we spent the weekend together as a family and some of us got to go! We went to SeaWorld twice, had lunch at Texas De Brazil (Yum!) and I got some new clothes! Woot!

Rosalie did SO well! She slept most of the time in the car and there were even several shorter car rides where there were SMILES AND LAUGHS! An amazing feat for this girl! She was a trooper, for real, at SeaWorld. She put up with a LOT! She loved the aquarium, she was mesmerized by the fish and even tried to reach out and touch them! The world is so amazing from her perspective, I love seeing it light up her eyes!Watching Shamu. The dolphin show is MUCH better for kids!

Project Rosalie - 15 Weeks Old

Project Rosalie - 14 Weeks

A typical day in the life! As I've mentioned before, Rosalie LOVES books! These days she's gotten a lot more hands on with them!
She is also really starting to talk to us and tell us her stories. It just melts my heart learning what her little voice sounds like! So cute!
AND... she LAUGHED this week! I've been waiting somewhat impatiently for that moment! It was a big week for our love! I was just playing the piano on her tummy the first time and later she did it playing bouncy baby. Then today she did it just lying on the floor, all I said was "Hi!" and I got a little giggle. I can't wait until they become more regular!
Oh and she's also getting SO strong! She can stand up for a really long time (especially when she's mad!) and just uses my hands to balance, I can't believe how fast she's growing up! I think she may be the girl that walks before she crawls since she still HATES tummy time! We'll see!

Project Rosalie - 13 Weeks Old

This week Rosalie was a little out of the ordinary :-/. A good baby of course and not too fussy, but not her usual self for sure.

This post will likely only hold interest (and I use that term VERY loosely) for moms or child care givers....

Rosalie didn't poop for.. a WHILE. I'm not going to say how long because I think I'm a good mom but I don't necessarily believe that medicating is always better than letting nature take its course, and I know many of you would probably have done something sooner than I did and I don't want the comments. (This is said lovingly and with total respect to your point of view, by the way). But when I thought it had been TOO long and before I took her to the doctor the next day I decided to use a baby suppository and that worked! But she sure had me worried for a bit!

So in addition to THAT... Rosalie slept 7 1/2 hours straight one night!!! Then woke up the next night wide awake at midnight and was up for over an hour! She hasn't done that since she was about 3 weeks old. I wonder what's going on with the little tyke???

She did do great on the way to and from Palatka however, she slept almost the whole 3 hours there, waking up about 5 minutes out and then sleeping the WHOLE way back! Nice!

Anyway, since I'm posting this later than usual I can tell you that I'll have some cute new goings on to report next week!
