6 Months Old!

Rosalie is SIX months old today! I can't believe that!

On our way out to her 6 Month Appointment... Mommy's nervous, but Rosalie thinks it's just another Monday...

Granna met us there, she always comes for my shots, because I (mommy) am a big ole baby!

After the exam.. Dr. V isn't such a bad guy!...

16 lbs and 13 oz... 65th percentile in weight
26 inches long... 60th percentile in height...
don't know WHERE that came from!

I think she knows what's coming... what else would this face be for?

...and after the shots.... The nurse said her cry sounds like you just ripped out her heart. It is truly sad! You know it's pathetic when a pediatric nurse thinks that her cry is EXTRA sad! I don't think I'll ever want to let her cry it out!

She was really a trooper! After we left the office she calmed down, and slept while mommy ate lunch with Granna and Poppy (Daddy had to go back to work) and then hasn't been fussy since! Hopefully she stays comfy and happy!

Happy 6 months my little love muffin! I'm so glad we have you! I can't believe it's been so long already and that you are so big! You make my eternity!

Project Rosalie - 25 Weeks

Yay Rosalie!

How much do you love it when you can leave your kid sitting up, playing and go switch around the laundry??? She's figured out I'll come back! No more crying if she can't see me! There's a true sense of freedom in that. LieLoo is sitting up even better this week!

We hung out with some other friends this week and I think she's finally getting more interested in other babies. She's definitely starting to get more interested in dogs. Even though our Stella is not very active, Rosalie has started smiling so big when she ambles by and loves to watch her eat treats. When we go to my parents, she loves to put her hands in Baka's and Hudson's fur (Moby is smarter than to let her, even though he LOVES babies for whatever reason).

Me and David went on our first REAL date since she was born this weekend. She stayed with Grana and experimented with homemade Sweet Potato baby food while we went to Mongo's (eh) and then to Bruster's for ice cream (which was free because the credit card machine was down! Sa-weet!)! I think we all handled it quite well! It may even happen again someday!
In other news, she has grown out of size 2 diapers (wtc?!?!?!?!?) and even though she's only been in them about a month and a half, is QUICKLY growing out of her 3-6 month clothes! SHE IS SO BIG! I'm sure I can see her growing!

First REAL Food and Then Some...

I tried avocados this week! Mommy loves them, but it took me a little while to get accustomed to this new taste and texture!I warmed up to it though!

Project Rosalie - 24 Weeks

Such a smiley girl! Rosalie is doing wonderfully, as always! She's DEFINITELY packing on the pounds, and when I woke up this morning I was sure she grew three inches over night! She can sit up on her own, well, just forever these days and even thinks it's funny sometimes when she falls over! She's turning into quite the daredevil and will give you a HUGE smile if you'll just put her a liiiiiittle higher, or whoosh her around a liiiiittle faster! One day she was sitting on my legs which were straight going from the couch to the floor and she just decided that looked like a fun ride! SO, she just picked up her feet, threw her head back and rolled down! (Yes, I could have stopped her, I was holding on, but it looked fun to me too!) AND she suddenly "remembered" how to roll over! She did it lots of times at three months, but then just stopped! Anyhow she's back at it!

My little Rose is also teething for sure! She doesn't seem to get too fussy with it, but she DOES BITE! A warning to any who might hold her! She will get some shoulder skin between those gums and pinch it SOO hard! OW! She's also been waking up a LOT at night! Not fussing or anything but she just wants to eat ALL the time! Usually every 45 minutes to an hour and a half until about 3AM, then she'll settle for longer, but still wake up about every 2.5 hours. I think it's getting better though. *prayer*! My best guess is that she's teething, obviously, but also that my surgery interfering with the breastfeeding schedule has something to do with it too. Whatever it is, she's still my super cute angel girl! I can't get enough of her, I hate when she sleeps (during the day mind you) because I miss her (and also because I have to clean then...) and I LOVE days like today when I go to get her from her nap and she's just babbling in her co-sleeper, playing with her feet and she gives me a big smile like "Hey Mama! Where've YOU been??" The Best!

Project Rosalie - 23 Weeks

Rosalie was SUCH a good girl this week! She's doing great at sitting up, and being good at entertaining herself in the car seat, she's started talking up a storm and she's started sucking on her fingers at play time. She's getting really great at grabbing things, her fine motor skills are improving in leaps and bounds!
We sure tested her this week too! I had surgery on Friday and that meant first of all being without mommy for the longest time yet, and also some changes to our feeding schedule, but she handled both like a champ! David's, mom a.k.a "Nana", came up to help out (my mom had surgery this week too!... Same body part! Twins!) and of course she and Rosalie had a blast together! I prayed and prayed that Rosalie, who has recently been happy with NO ONE but me, not even Daddy sometimes, would not cry the whole time I was in surgery and recovery, and that prayer was more than answered! She did great all weekend! She was the perfect angel! In this picture she's sporting ONE of the FSU headbands that Nana brought her! So cute! Thanks Aunt Breanne!

Project Rosalie - 22 Weeks

Rosalie is getting so much more interactive these days, she is SO much fun! This week she's been laughing a lot more and really developing more personality. One day she would lean down and bite my knee and then look at me smiling and I would say "WHAT are you doing!?!" and she would laugh and laugh, then bite my knee again and look at me smiling... repeat, repeat and... repeat! The funnest ten minutes ever! I sure love the "little things"! She's sitting up better and better and is starting to eat really well!

A Day at the Airfield!

Dad got a Remote Control airplane for Christmas last year and here he is modeling it just after her maiden voyage!
